"Cool," he muttered, mostly as acknowledgement to her response. He stared out the window for a second, trying to see if there was anyone who looked aware of the two of them sitting in the cab. Everyone was doing their own thing; he decided to let them. One day, he'd start asking around. Not today.

He snapped his eyes back to her, his left eye feeling a little askew and blurry for a second. He ignored it.
