Emma concentrated. It was getting harder to focus. A headache was building up behind her eyes. The noise became louder, the passing voices more insistent.

She shook her head, sighing softly. "Maybe someone knows, but I'm not getting it."

She gave him a shrug, hoping she didn't look as distracted as she felt.

The cab stopped, but Emma didn't move to get out. She was having too much trouble boxing out the now coherent voices around them.
