Given Claire's experience with this sort of thing, she really should have been better prepared for the sudden reappearance of a familiar face. Or, at least, it shouldn't have been such a shock to the system. But it wasn't like she had been expecting that familiar face to be standing right out in front of the door when she came out of it carrying a box of empty bottles.

Swinging up the door with her foot, she was humming to herself only to stop dead at the person in front of her. Not expecting it caused her to yelp in surprise as the box slipped from her arms and hit the ground with an equally shocking and sharp sound of shattering glass.

Not that it really registered even as she jumped back a bit to avoid any glass hitting her. Not that it would since she had closed the lid tightly but still....

"Shit, I didn't...what..." She stumbled over her words before stopping and simply staring at him. "Caius?"

There was a chance it wasn't him but the guy would correct her if it was just a doppelganger issue.
