When he came to, his eyes first adjusted on the wall behind his bed. Flowers. But there was something that immediately pulled at the edges of his mind - that there was supposed to be something else there, or under it, though he couldn't put his finger on it.
Caius blinked a few times, slowly while intense blue eyes furrowed and brow pinched as he tried to pull things into focus. This wasn't his quaint little bed and breakfast, and that wasn't the sound of the water he knew out the window. Yet, somehow.. this was all somewhat familiar to him.
He pulled himself up and sat on the edge of the bed, hand coming up to scratch the back of his head in confusion..

Caius didn't remain at Shady Oaks long, choosing to walk and try to figure it all out. He was in Italy last he remembered, at the market with Abigail on errands and their weekly grocery run. After that, things went black and now he was here.
Unlike some who might have found themselves in the situation, he was calm, yet there was an uneasiness when the Roman passed people and they said his name, or looked at him with a smile. He didn't know them.
Or, did he?
He walked through each district before his feet led him to an establishment. He stood outside it for a long time, repeating the name of it over and over, as if the verbal act would push out the reason why he should know this place.
