Missy's changed from her sleek purple suit into a tailored black one for the occasion, though she's kept the cameo positioned neatly at her throat. A girl never knows when she might have to defend herself, after all - though if she's forced to poke people with a pin (even though it's dark star alloy), then she'll be in dire straits indeed. Of course, she's sure nobody would be so crude as to pull out actual weapons at this so-called Emperor's party. Tonight is a night for keeping claws and fangs sheathed. It's all about politics.

(Of course she's good at politics. She'd been elected Prime Minister, hadn't she? Although admittedly she'd brainwashed everyone into voting for her, but she likes to think that she'd have been able to do it on her own anyway. Humans are just dumb apes, after all. You only need to know which buttons to press.)

She ignores the nibbles laid out and manages to acquire a drink - something that is somehow purple and probably highly alcoholic. It looks nice, anyway, and tastes delicious, and she's not terribly fussed about the ingredients.
